Description
And beneath the moonlight
I ride with the silver wolf,
chasing the horizon’s trembling edge
into the nights to find myself,
to face shadows without a flinch until
each scrape of the hammer
has carved away the fear
to bring out the truth —
strong, wild, and alive.
Bindiya transforms nature into poetry. Nature permeates all her feelings, all her words, fluid, melodic, persuasive. But she does not stop there. Amidst echoes of history, of vanished empires, of monuments that speak of former greatness but tore peoples apart, and of her experiences in other latitudes, Bindiya glosses over hope, her belief in a better future, her religiosity and her faith, even if overwhelmed by doubts, fears, anger and despair at times. — Maria Regina de Mongiardim
Riding with the Silver Wolf reads as a bridge between poetic artistry and spiritual inquiry. It belongs to that rare category of works that expand perception while restoring faith in beauty, humanity and the creative spirit. This is a book to be experienced, savoured, an antidote to a rushed life. Every page feels like a whispered conversation between the higher power and the universe itself. — Melanie Falvey

Reviews
Kundanika Nanda reviews Riding with the Silver Wolf in The Week
‘Riding with the Silver Wolf’ is a poetry collection that resists the dominant mood of contemporary verse. Where much recent poetry is loud, confessional, and engineered for instant effect, Bindiya Bedi Charan Noronha opts for slowness. Her poems pause, observe, and reflect. This is both the book’s central strength and its most persistent limitation. … The collection’s most compelling moments come when lyric observation intersects with political clarity. ‘Varanasi’ is among the strongest poems here, exposing how faith, patriarchy, and poverty converge to entrap widows in ritualised abandonment. Noronha refuses both pity and romanticism; dignity is shown as fragile, provisional, and sustained through endurance rather than transcendence. Similarly, ‘Stampede’ offers a sharp critique of religious spectacle, indicating not only crowd frenzy but the godmen who vanish once death and injury remain.

The collection itself is as much a personal archive as it is a philosophical inquiry. Written over time, through moments of vulnerability and resistance, ‘Riding with the Silver Wolf’ charts an arc from doubt to awakening. “There were moments when I didn’t want to write because it meant facing my insecurities,” she admits. “But those are also the moments that transform us.”

The collection starts on a note of hope, moves on to the afflictions of humanity, before concluding with a renewed belief in love, introspection, meditation.
