‘In life, be it running a garage

or a guesthouse,

never let the poet inside you wither.’

In a beguiling personal language of ‘wrinkled, wrapped-up memory’, metonymic and metaphorical, Manish hunts and haunts you with intimately terrifying quirks of identity and fluctuating fortunes of individual and collective destiny. — Ashwani Kumar, author of Banaras and the Other

Unlike our real world, there is no ‘rush’ in Manish Sinha’s poems. There is a calm in these lines. There’s ‘dosti by campfire’, ‘wings of hope’, ‘boatmen of Banaras’, and ‘waltz’. In the moving, debut collection of poems, The Grand Museum of the Earth, ‘a little is a lot’. — Madhu Raghavendra, author of Being Non-Essential

Manish Sinha’s poems are pages from an autobiography. The experiences narrated therein are exclusive, yet universal. The minimalist lines capture the economy of life, the poetry of things, and, above all, the immense solitude of the soul. — Sonya J Nair, editor, samyuktapoetry.com

A career adman turned entrepreneur, Manish Sinha aka Musafir runs a travel and a digital marketing company. As a chronicler of the times, he started penning his thoughts — sharing stories about brands and telling tales about India’s culture, cuisine, and soul. Both English and Hindi are his native languages. Apart from The Grand Museum of the Earth, he is currently writing Hindi poetry for two compilations — Gulab Se Gulag Tak and Radio Alfaz. A digital nomad, he now spends time between Gurgaon, Goa, and Lisbon, trying forever to escape to nowhere. You can reach him at [email protected].
