Description
What comes through in Bina Sarkar Ellias’ poems is a pressing sense of struggle and deep indignation at the ways of the world and present conditions, particularly expressing the world opinion on India. These are hand–faceted poems, expressing that some of us do have a conscience and honour. —Jayanta Mahapatra, distinguished award-winning Indian-English poet. Cuttack, India
Bina Sarkar’s poems use deft and nuanced words and phrasing to name and expose human corruption, and to defy political violence. These poems are inspiring acts of resistance and love that mourn those lost and remind their perpetrators that nature, the world and the universe are witnessing and recording their crimes. — Adrian Piper, American conceptual artist and philosopher. Berlin, Germany
